There is an old saying that we find true: “A healthy mind lives inside a healthy body.” In other words, your mind controls and controls the health of your body – and vice versa. If you want to keep things balanced, it’s important to pamper yourself inside and out!
go for a walk
Getting out of the house is one of the best things you can do to reset your mind and body. Play your favorite tunes or listen to the sounds of your surroundings. Exercising along with music – or nature – and the outdoors can lift your mood and relieve stress.

Continuing to learn throughout your life is key to mental longevity and renewed self-worth, especially when you feel stagnant in other areas of your life. Consider a hobby or skill that you are interested in or put off due to daily demands. Challenge yourself to learn about the topic, or take a lesson – learning something new is also a great confidence booster.
Some fun suggestions? Indulge yourself in art, photography, gardening or essential oils. Remember: your hobby doesn’t have to be practical to be worth your time. If it keeps you mentally occupied or boosts your self-esteem, it’s worth it!

unplug the technology
Nooooo!! But, yes. Refrain for a while from texting, swiping, liking, hashtags, email or snapchat – you’ll get it. Be bold and set daily reminders to monitor your phone usage, put your phone or laptop in a room at home you rarely enter, or simply turn off your devices for at least an hour or two (or more) a day. Being offline and limiting screen time has been shown to improve sleep patterns, relieve anxiety and stress, and even reduce certain types of depression.
Instead of using devices to connect you, try to strengthen your real-life personal relationships. Call that friend you haven’t talked to in a while. Call your mother. Anything that engages you in the here and now – not in a device. Maintain your social commitments, even if you feel at home when they roll. Sit down with your friend, partner, or child and spend some quality time hanging out – it all adds up to some self-care that really pleases your soul.
